GD Honorary Chair recalls conversation of former PM with high-ranking foreign official

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, on Monday, recalled the conversation of Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling party and the former Prime Minister, with one of the high-ranking foreign officials, with the latter suggesting three or four days of fighting, then engaging in a guerrilla movement, and fighting with Russia with foreign assistance.

In his interview with Imedi TV, Bidzina Ivanishvili noted that the European Parliament’s having “dared” to write in its resolution that “we should join the Russian sanctions,” is what part of the opposition uttered with others fearing to say it openly.

According to Bidzina Ivanishvili, the GD should win the Constitutional majority for the “collective National Movement” to fail in their intentions dictated from abroad.

“We do not attack anybody, we want to preserve our country and live in this country. We want our children to live in this country. This is our desire, a simple wish. We do not demonstrate aggression against anyone. We aggressively defend ourselves.

You can see the power is fighting with us from outside, that’s why we managed to toughen up the team and make society aware. I think society has seen a lot and is understanding these processes. I am following the situation,” he said.
