The Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, Mamuka Mdinaradze, reported that the GD’s pre-election campaign was peaceful with no major violations, while the various attempts of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party to organize provocations have failed.
Mdinaradze warned that the UNM and the radical opposition planned to organize provocations and disorder on October 2 E-Day. Referring to the leaked information, GD Executive Secretary said the ruling party had learnt about the opposition plan to increase the complaints artificially, obstruct election commissions’ work, steal election documentation, cause misbalance in summarizing protocols, and physically and verbally assault the CEC members and election observers.
“We warn the radical opposition that similar acts will not remain unpunished and all violators will be called to account,” Mdinaradze claimed.
