GD Executive Secretary jokes about TSU rector behind alleged vote fraud

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream Party, commented on the ongoing protests at Tbilisi State University (TSU), where demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Rector Jaba Samushia.

“Some people are puzzled as to why protests are taking place at the university or how Jaba Samushia’s resignation is related to these protests. What is unclear about this? Some are claiming that 300,000 votes were forged, not just 200 or 300. Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that Samushia was responsible for forging those 300,000 votes through the Physics-Mathematics Department and has managed to wake us up in Chelyabinsk,” Mdinaradze stated.

Members of the Daphioni movement, along with at least ten students, are calling for the resignation of Jaba Samushia, the Rector of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University (TSU).
