GD Executive Secretary affirms decisions regarding Georgia are made within Georgia
Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, expressed his views on social media regarding the recent cancellation of an invitation extended to the Georgian Prime Minister.
“It is neither rational nor a plausible move to invite the Prime Minister of a country whose 20% territory is occupied by Russia and then cancel this invitation,” he stated.
Mdinaradze characterized the cancellation as a “rescue ring for a beleaguered opposition.”
“To be continued… but decisions regarding Georgia are made solely in Georgia and nowhere else. Everyone must come to terms with this fact. President Biden will, of course, be informed about the details,” Mdinaradze asserted.
According to the Voice of America, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze was among the officials invited to a reception hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden; however, Biden’s administration subsequently cancelled the invitation and rejected all meetings with the Georgian delegation.
