GD faction chair: Opposition do not support legislation against LGBT propaganda

“Everyone is trying to avoid supporting the legislation aimed at countering LGBT propaganda through various manipulations,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, chair of the Georgian Dream faction.

Mdinaradze expressed disappointment that even Georgia’s foreign partners argue that the entire country should be mobilized to protect LGBT propaganda.

“It is regrettable that not only the ‘National Movement’ and other opposition groups, but also many others, did not support the legislation against LGBT propaganda, just as they did not support the constitutional amendments. It is disheartening to see foreign colleagues joining the rhetoric that such laws are harmful,” Mdinaradze stated.
