GCCA directs tkt.ge to align internal policies with legal standards
The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has signed a conditional commitment agreement with tkt.ge, instructing the company to align its internal policies with legal requirements.
According to the agency, the retailer has been requested to restore the rights of consumers who suffered damages due to a flawed trading policy.
Additionally, TiNET LTD (www.tkt.ge) is required to provide comprehensive information regarding its services in the Georgian language.
The agency has granted the retailer a one-month period to fulfil these commitments.
In the past seven months of 2024, the Agency reported receiving 502 complaints regarding violations of consumer rights.
Of the 114 applications reviewed, violations of consumer rights were confirmed in 52 cases. The agency imposed fines on 27 retailers across 35 instances, amounting to a total of GEL 22,312.
