Former employee of Tbilisi City Hall hospitalized

Otar Abesadze, former employee of Tbilisi City Hall, who is charged for taking bribe, has been transferred to the clinic for various types of medical examination, – Abesadze’s lawyer Irma Chkadua said.

“We all know that he has been provided medical assistance several times. The family and lawyers are interested in maintaining his health,” Chkadua said.

Former employee of the City Hall Otar Abesadze was detained by officers of Anti-Corruption Agency of State Security Service on charge of bribery on July 12, 2017. According to the investigation, Abesadze took USD 3 000 as bribe. He was officially charged on July 13.
