“We should always draw a red line so that our soldiers, who have always defended world peace, are not punished with our political decisions,” said former Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze.
Juansher Burchuladze remarked on the US decision to postpone the Noble Partners drills with an indefinite term, saying this decision was “regrettable.”
“I would like to ask our partners, all those who make such decisions. Such large-scale activities are not only military events. This is a military-political activity and we should not forget that our soldiers have defended for years not only the countries, which are NATO members, but also the world peace. We should always draw a red line not to punish our soldiers with our political decisions,” he said.
On July 5, the US Department of State announced the indefinite postponement of the Noble Partner exercise in Georgia, originally scheduled for July 25 – August 6, 2024, as part of the US-Georgia relationship review.
