Foreign Relations Committee delegation pays official visit to London
Georgian parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee delegation, led by Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, pays an official visit to London.
Within the framework of the UK visit, Georgian MPs held meetings with Tobias Ellwood, Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee, MP Lisa Cameron, and the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The discussions focused on the situation in the Black Sea region, Georgia’s peace role, occupation, security environment, Russian threats and NATO’s forthcoming summit.
“At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we provided information to our partners on the progress achieved in the EC’s recommendations’ implementation and the geopolitical significance of our country’s European integration,” said Nikoloz Samkharadze.
The Georgian delegation comprises First Deputy Chairman Mariam Lashkhi and committee members Irakli Mezurnishvili and Khatuna Samnidze.
