Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office representative
The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held a meeting with the Director of Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Chris Allan.
According to the Parliament’s press office, the conversation included the Georgia-Great Britain cooperation and prospects of parliamentary collaboration.
“Samkharadze introduced information about foreign policy, EU integration, the situation in the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region, domestic policy and pre-electoral processes.
The parties overviewed the regional security challenges.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, and the British Ambassador to Georgia, H.E. Gareth Ward,” reads the statement.
