Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament, met with Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, during his visit to Yerevan.
The meeting focused on Georgia’s strong relations with Armenia, emphasizing the importance of their strategic partnership and exploring ways to enhance economic cooperation. The discussion covered regional security challenges and steps that could foster a sustainable and peaceful environment.
Samkharadze and the parliamentary delegation also discussed Georgia’s EU integration process and the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. He expressed gratitude for Armenia’s support of the UN resolution on the status of IDPs and refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia’s unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity. The conversation also highlighted the importance of promptly completing the border delimitation-demarcation process in the South Caucasus.
Additionally, Samkharadze reiterated Georgia’s readiness to facilitate the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and offered support to Armenia in its EU integration efforts by sharing Georgia’s experiences.
