The For Georgia party released a statement on the attack on the party leader Giorgi Gakharia.

“Today, Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia Party and former prime minister of Georgia, was brutally attacked in a coordinated group assault orchestrated by Ivanishvili’s regime in Batumi.

The For Georgia party demands an immediate and thorough investigation into this violent assault orchestrated by Ivanishvili’s regime and calls for all those responsible to be held fully accountable.

This politically motivated attack is a blatant attempt to intimidate the opposition and suppress dissent. Such actions will never silence the voices fighting for Georgia’s democratic and European future,” reads the statement released on the X Platform.
