For Georgia party leader announces President agreed to postpone their meeting with Strong Georgia
Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia party, announced that he requested President Salome Zourabichvili to defer a meeting with Mamuka Khazaradze, the head of the Strong Georgia coalition, by several hours—and the President consented. The rescheduled meeting is now set for 6 p.m.
“I considered Mamuka Khazaradze’s request and spoke with the President, asking her to postpone the meeting. She agreed to reschedule it for 6 p.m., but this matter cannot be delayed any longer,” Gakharia wrote on Facebook.
“I invite both gentlemen to dinner at 3 p.m., and they are welcome to proceed as they wish before that time. I believe this will be very beneficial,” remarked President Zourabichvili.
Her comments came in response to suggestions made by Mamuka Khazaradze, who expressed the desire to meet with Gakharia before they visited the President at the Orbeliani Palace.
President Zourabichvili is encouraging Khazaradze and Gakharia to unite and has invited them to the palace for discussions.
