For Georgia party appeals to POG over Irakli Kobakhidze's statement

For Georgia party has submitted a file on Monday to the Prosecutor’s Office over Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement where he accused Giorgi Gakharia and the United National Movement party of planning an alleged coup in February.

For Georgia demands unbiased investigation and a legal response to Kobakhidze’s statement.

“We think that leaving such absurd statements unanswered will further damage the state interests and the country’s international reputation,” the party stressed.

In an interview with Rustavi 2 earlier in June, Irakli Kobakhidze alleged that the opposition United National Movement party planned a coup in February this year, with Gakharia possibly being involved in it.
