Leader of the For Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, met the National-Democratic Institute (NDI) President, Derek Mitchell, within the framework of the US trip.
According to the party’s press service, Giorgi Gakharia introduced the NDI president with his party’s plans. The sides also spoke about the upcoming local elections in Georgia.
During the meeting, Giorgi Gakharia and Derek Mitchell accentuated the significance of democracy, building strong state institutions, struggle against corruption, human rights and resolution of facing challenges in the country. The parties also discussed the judicial system reform within the April 19 EU-brokered agreement spirit.
