Football: Georgia vs. Mongolia
Georgian national football team will play an international friendly match against Mongolia to kick off the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
The match will take place in Batumi city. Willy Sagnol, the head coach of the Georgian national team held a press conference and said that Giorgi Loria would be the team’s captain and the goalkeeper.
The hosts will battle it out for a place at their first-ever finals in the months ahead. Ranked 78 in the world, Georgia head into Saturday’s warm-up game on a run of eight wins from their last 12 matches, so after tackling Mongolia, they will be relishing a qualifying opener against Norway next week.
The GPB’s First Channel and Georgian Radio (FM 102,3) will live transmit the match, which will start at 6 pm.
