FM: Unfortunate that some EU representatives play negative role in maintaining stability in Georgia
Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili says “It is unfortunate that there are representatives in the European Union and Brussels who play a somewhat negative role in maintaining stability in Georgia.
As Bochorishvili noted, “Their statements are often aimed precisely at undermining the stability that our country so desperately needs.”
“They evaluate the ongoing processes in Georgia very subjectively and, it can be said, play a somewhat negative role in maintaining stability in our country. Very often their statements are aimed at undermining that stability which our country so desperately needs,” Botchorishvili asserted.
The EU High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas earlier today expressed concern about the detentions in Georgia.
“On any other business, this will definitely come up. We are very concerned about the detentions, I mean the arrests of the people. We have been putting pressure also on the people who are actually conducting the violence against the peaceful protestors,” Kaja Kallas stated.
