First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection meets EU delegation
The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Nino Thandilashvili, met with members of the European Union delegation to discuss the Air Quality for Better Health project. The project aims to enhance air quality monitoring and management in Georgia.
Key aspects of the project include the acquisition of nine air quality monitoring stations, the establishment of a reference laboratory, the strengthening of modelling and forecasting capabilities, the promotion of best available practices in industrial emissions, and targeted training programs.
Thandilashvili expressed gratitude for the EU’s support, emphasizing the project’s role in improving air quality over the next five years. The initiative aligns with European Union legislation.
