First Deputy General Director of GPB – With OSCE/ODIHR representatives we talked about Public Broadcaster as being the media of biggest responsibility
Tinatin Bedzenishvili, First Deputy General Director of Georgian Public Broadcaster said that during the meeting with representatives of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), discussions were held about Public Broadcasters as being the media of the biggest responsibility as well as media environment in the country.
According to Berdzenishvili, talks were held about carrying out of monitoring during the elections period so that the value of media standard is observed.
“We are waiting for the next steps after the report which will be ready soon. The observation mission will arrive in Georgia and we will meet with people, who will directly be working with the media during the elections. There will be monitoring and we will be involved in that,” Bedzenishvili said.
Representatives of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) held a meeting with management of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) today.
