Federica Mogherini – Georgia reached big progress in implementation of Association Agreement

Georgia reached big progress in the implementation of Association Agreement that serves as the basis for our political association and economic integration – Federica Maria Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said during a press conference held after the fifth sitting of Georgia-EU Association Council in Brussels, Belgium.

Mogherini evaluated the sitting as positive and talked about how important the discussions and similar meetings were important for both sides. She claimed that the European Union was ready to work in the implementation of full potential of partnership. “We also talked about certain problems related to the introduction of the visa-free regime but this can be resolved by time,” EU High Representative claimed.

The Georgian delegation was headed up by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze. The Georgian delegation also included Davit Zalkaliani, Foreign Minister, Tea Tsulukiani, Justice Minister and Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equity.
