FBI instructors held training course for MIA employees

A five-day training course organized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for the representatives of the Central Criminal Police, Patrol Police, and Tbilisi Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs concluded, Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported on Friday.

According to the MIA, the training was held at the MIA Academy with the support of the State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

“American instructors shared with Georgian law enforcers their expertise and experience related to live-fire range, search and entry techniques, tactical medicine, and other important issues related to the fight against drug-related crime. The aim of the course was to improve crime-fighting skills, analyze modern methods and share the experience of relevant U.S. entities,” MIA stated.
