External Merchandise trade up by 16.2% in January-October

External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 17 786.1 million in January-October 2023, 16.2 percent higher year-on-year, Geostat reported.

The value of export increased by 12.5 percent reaching USD 5 102.7 million, while the import increased 17.8 percent and amounted to USD 12 683.4 million.

The trade deficit equaled USD 7 580.7 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 42.6 percent.
