Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Thursday, said, “an announcement to withdraw the draft law on “transparency of foreign influence” is a good sign, now concrete legal steps need to follow.”
“Georgians took the streets to express their aspiration for democracy and European values. These peaceful protest were strong and moving to see,” he tweeted.
Earlier today, the ruling Georgian Dream party said it was “unconditionally” withdrawing the bill which led the Georgians to take to the streets for two days.
