European Georgia: Opposition wants early elections, but sees plebiscite as a compromise
Georgian opposition wants early elections, the release of political prisoners and a package of electoral changes. However, Giga Bokeria from the European Georgia party says the opposition would consider plebiscite as a compromise.
Commenting on Mikheil Saakashvili’s statement, he said that it would be good if Ivanishvili appointed a plebiscite to spite.
“Our position remains the same. We want early elections, the release of political prisoners and a package of electoral changes. But we will consider a plebiscite to ask Georgian people whether they want new elections as a compromise.
