European Commission President urges Georgian gov't to act following Georgia's EU aspirations

Ursula von der Leyen, the incumbent president of the European Commission, shared a post on social media featuring her meeting with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.

“Thank you, Salome Zourabichvili, for your leadership. I deeply respect your commitment to Georgia’s European future. The Georgian people overwhelmingly support this path. We urge the Georgian government to act in accordance with Georgia’s EU aspirations,” von der Leyen wrote alongside the photo.
