EU Integration Committee Chair rebuffs being considered as next FM

EU Integration Committee Chair, Maka Botchorishvili rebuffs rumours of being considered as the next Foreign Minister in the incoming Cabinet. She stressed this very topic would not be discussed.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has resigned from his post on Monday. Within two weeks, the Georgian Parliament will hold a confidence vote in the new Prime Minister and Government.

A government program and new Cabinet must be submitted to Parliament within nine days after the PM’s resignation. As per the rule, by a majority vote, Parliament gives its confidence to the PM or the government.
