The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili held meetings in the National Assembly of France with the Chair of the European Affairs Committee, Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade, in the Administration of the Prime Minister with the Secretary-General for the European Affairs, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the Director of the EU Department and with the Acting Director of the Continental Europe Department.
According to the parliament’s press office, the meetings were dedicated to the consideration of Georgia-EU relations, the European perspective of Georgia, and the expectations, as well as compliance with 12 recommendations and the progress so far.
The parties discussed the EU enlargement policy and the importance of the political decision providing the geopolitical context. As noted, France supports the EU integration of Georgia and is committed to rendering effective aid in this direction.
The visit also included meetings with the President of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique GIULIANI, and the senior researcher of the Political Research Center, Florent Parmentier.
