EU Integration Committee Chair engages with NDI

Maka Botchorishvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee, met with Eleonor Benoit, a gender and inclusion analyst from the National Democratic Institute (NDI) of the United States, who is currently in Georgia to observe the pre-election environment.

According to the parliament’s press service, the meeting focused on the political landscape in Georgia, women’s role in politics, their representation in political processes, and the challenges they face.

The European Integration Committee chair reviewed the ongoing political processes leading up to the elections, as well as the ongoing campaign, focusing on the importance of maintaining objectivity among election observers.
