EU ambassadors green light 30 million euro in non-lethal aid for Georgia
“EU ambassadors today green lighted 30 million euro in non-lethal aid for Georgia under the European Peace Facility (EPF) – the same off-EU budget vehicle used to pay for arms to Ukraine,” said Rikard Jozwiak, Journalist and Europe editor for RFE/RL in Prague focusing on coverage of the European Union and NATO.
According to Rikard Jozwiak, debates were held on May 7 in Brussels regarding the developments in Georgia. He said that 26 member states expressed concern while Hungary kept silent.
“The EU may soon make a statement, and there may be an update from the European Commission on how the Foreign Agents Law fits the criteria for EU accession,” he wrote on the X Platform.
