Equality Movement – MIA arrests one person for sexual violence on transgender woman

Equality Movement informs that Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia arrested one person on charge of the sexual violence on a transgender woman.

Equality Movement reported that the victim of the sexual harassment had applied to the organization for assistance on August 12.

Lawyers of the organization provided the woman with legal consultation and accompanied her during questioning and inspection of the crime site.

The charged person is imposed pre-trial imprisonment. Full investigation into the case is in progress.
