The National Environment Agency reported on Monday that the water quality of the Black Sea was within the norm along the coastline.
The agency said it was measuring the seawater quality at nine stations every month, determining the main physical and chemical parameters including salinity, the content of dissolved oxygen, and biogenic elements.
In line with the European Union’s Marine Strategy Framework Directive, the Agency noted it would further improve monitoring systems, adding it had purchased modern laboratory equipment to assist in identifying specific pollutants with high accuracy.
