Emergency Situations Management Service has 6 new high-speed boats

The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) purchased 6 additional new high-speed rescue boats to improve the efficiency of search and rescue operations.

Temur Mghebrishvili, head of the Service toured Tornike Rizhvadze, Head of the Adjara Autonomous Republic government and Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani to inspect the boats and get familiarized with their technical characteristics in Batumi city.

“The modern high-speed boats will be deployed along the Black Sea coastline. They are efficient both in the sea and rivers during rescue efforts. The boats are equipped with modern technologies including water bottom scanning facilities,” the MIA said.
