Eerik Kross statement serves to mislead our partners, MP Tsilosani says
“Eerik Kross and his organized group issued a statement that does not reflect the real processes taking place in the country and serves to mislead our partners,” said MP Khatia Tsilosani, a member of the parliamentary majority, a member of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
According to the document “Elections in Georgia – alarming developments,” signed by 24 deputies, “There are alarming reports coming from Georgia which seem to indicate that the ruling party is preparing to steal the upcoming parliamentary elections.”
Tsilosani noted that “the document’s signatories are largely legislators of the ALDE group, which is linked to Strategy Agmashenebeli, and their information is not based on real facts.”
“During the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Georgian delegation provided detailed information to its colleagues about the country’s ongoing pre-election process; however, Eerik Kross and his organised group issued a statement today that does not reflect the actual processes taking place in the country and serves to mislead our partners.
It is important that out of 612 MPs, only 24 people joined his statement, mainly MPs represented on behalf of the ALDE group,” she stated.
