Education Minister congratulates teachers on World Teachers’ Day

Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Aleksandre Tsuladze congratulated teachers on World Teachers’ Day.

“I want to congratulate teachers on this remarkable day, those who with their daily activities and dedication serve the building of our country’s better future. Dear teachers, you are our today’s real heroes and I want to thank you all for your dedication and faithfulness to your profession.

Our main task is to support teachers in self-development and professional advancement. Accordingly, let’s create such working conditions as you deserve. Once again, I congratulate everyone on today, I wish you success and prosperity with all my heart!” he said.

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions.
