Education Committee Chair: No significance to distribution of committees
“It does not matter how the parliamentary committees will be distributed between the majority and the opposition. Agreement is what matters most,” Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the parliamentary Education Committee, told the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).
According to Papuashvili, cooperation and sharing of responsibilities serve as the main spirit of the agreement.
“Names and surnames do not matter. It is important to have collaboration. The opposition is represented in the Education Committee and there is no disagreement,” Papuashvili claimed.
The ruling Georgian Dream party earlier proposed to the opposition to chair 5 committees in the parliament.
