Economy Ministry: Gov't effective strategy influences WB upgraded economic growth prediction for Georgia
The World Bank’s upgrade of Georgia’s economic growth estimate is predicated upon the Georgian government’s effective economic and governance policies, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development remarked on the latest WB report.
“We have positive expectations. The economic growth rate will remain consistent throughout the year and is anticipated to continue in the future,” said Vakhtang Tsintsadze, the Ministry’s Head of Economic Analysis and Reforms Department.
Following the Georgian economy’s double-digit growth in the first eight months, the World Bank has upgraded its 2022 economic growth prediction for the country from 5.5 to 8.8 per cent, the highest in Europe and Central Asia.
