Driving license validity to be set per their respective categories and sub-categories
Validity terms of driving licenses have been defined according to categories and sub-categories, the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.
The validity term of AM, A, B, BE, T, S, A1, A2, B1 category driving licenses will be 15 years, while C, CE, D, DE, C1, C1E, D1, D1E categories and sub-categories – 5 years.
The international driving license validity term will be three years (regardless of the assigned category or sub-category). After the expiration, a driver’s license will be replaced without taking a driving test at the submission of a health certificate.
The Service Agency further informed that the validity term of driving licenses issued before April 1, 2006, expired on April 1, 2018. For their replacement, an individual should present a health certificate and an old driving license at the Agency.
The validity term of driving licenses of C, CE, D, DE, C1, C1E, D1 and D1E categories (sub-categories) issued from April 1, 2006, till March 1, 2014, expired on March 1, 2019.
The driving licenses of A, B, BE, T, S, A1 and B1 category (sub-categories) issued from April 1, 2006, till March 1, 2014, will be valid till September 1, 2028.
