Diagnostics for the admission into Hepatitis C Elimination Program run by State becomes completely free of charge
Hepatitis C Elimination Program run by the State will admit people with respective diagnostic studies that have become completely free of charge.
It was announced by Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at a regular press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, out-of-pocket payments made so far by patients ranged between 140-360 GEL for admission into the State Program.
“Georgia is the most successful country and we have a chance to become one that managed to eliminate Hepatitis C. Experience gained from the program is eagerly shared to the rest of the world and we are naturally making certain adjustments to it” concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
