Deputy Economy Minister: Economic growth leads rise in number of employees
Deputy Economy Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze stated on Monday that the unemployment rate decrease and employment growth continued in Q2 2024.
According to Tsintsadze, Georgia’s unemployment rate has reached a historical low. Additionally, the first and second quarters of 2024 saw a record number of hired employees.
Tsintsadze added that the number of employed individuals climbed by more than 60 thousand in the second quarter of 2024, reaching 388 thousand, while the number of jobless fell by 47.2 thousand to 219.7 thousand.
