Defence Minister visits initial combat training centre in Akhalkalaki
Georgia’s Defence Minister, Irakli Chikovani, recently visited the initial combat training centre in Akhalkalaki, named after Senior Sergeant Zaza Feradze.
Major General Giorgi Matiashvili accompanied the minister during the visit. Chikovani observed the training of future contract soldiers, which included tactical movement, fire training, and topography.
Additionally, he met with students of the Army Camp program who were being trained in first aid and engineering.
