Defense Minister meets Norwegian Ambassador

The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, met with Bergljot Hovland, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway.

Discussions during the meeting covered current issues and prospects of cooperation between the defense agencies of Georgia and Norway.

The significance of military education and collaboration between the Georgian National Guard and the Norwegian Home Guard were highlighted.

Norway’s contributions to the development of the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC), as well as its financial support within the trust fund, were acknowledged as crucial elements of cooperation.
