Irakli Chikovani, Georgian Defense Minister met Alexander Vinnikov, Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and NATO delegation members.
The Minister underscored the NATO Secretary General’s plan to visit Georgia and discussed NATO-Georgia cooperation issues.
Irakli Chikovani remarked that the Ministry continues to effectively use the practical mechanisms of NATO-Georgia cooperation, which helps to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities and increase compatibility with NATO.
He spoke about the successful implementation of reforms and initiatives as per the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package (SNGP).
On March 14, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced at a press conference that he would visit Georgia soon.
