Defense Minister: Increasing funding annually to strengthen defense capabilities
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, announced an increase in the defense budget by 100 million GEL, highlighting that defense is a priority for the ruling Georgian Dream party.
“This is evidenced by the fact that year by year we allocate more and more resources to strengthen our defense capabilities and improve the social conditions of defense forces personnel,” said Irakli Chikovani.
He noted that these funds will support significant projects and long-term plans of the Ministry of Defense, which are being developed in collaboration with the Prime Minister and the Government of Georgia.
“It is a pleasure for me to work with a team that understands very well the necessity of strengthening Georgia’s defense capabilities and the importance of directing resources to improve the social conditions of our soldiers and officers,” said Irakli Chikovani.
