August 18 marks the birthday of Giorgi Antsukhelidze, an outstanding hero in the modern history of our country, the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, wrote on Facebook.

“In the August 2008 war, Giorgi Antsukhelidze defended the state flag of Georgia and the honour of our country at the cost of his life. For future generations, he became an enduring symbol of devotion to the motherland, spiritual strength, and patriotism. The freedom and independence of our country rest on the shoulders of Giorgi Antsukhelidze and brave soldiers like him. Glory to the heroes,” Chikovani stated.
