Davit Saganelidze, who chairs “Partnership Foundations,” is leaving Political Council of Georgian Dream Party. Saganelidze told reporters before the board meeting on Tuesday that he had not participated in making political decisions for the past two and a half years.
“Renewal of the political board is a right decision. New faces are necessary in politics. I have my own opinion. I am not in politics during the past two and a half years. Being a formal member of the political board does not mean being in politics, because, during this period, since I chair the foundation, I have not made any political decision. I lead the country’s largest financial institution and I think that the head of the financial institution should be apolitical,” Saganelidze said.
