Danish Embassy: We now see extracts of Danish article used out of context in Georgian debate
“We now see extracts of the Danish article used out of context in the Georgian debate. The embassy has no desire to contribute to this and has no further comments,” the Danish Embassy in Georgia has issued the statement in connection to the reactions on Ambassador Anne Toft Sorensen’s recent article in a Danish newspaper.
The embassy notes that Denmark has continuously supported Georgia on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
“An article was written to a Danish newspaper upon the historic decision to grant EU candidate status to Georgia. The article highlights the strong desire of Georgia to pursue EU integration, and outlines what Denmark can do to support Georgia, including via the newly opened embassy, cooperation on green transition, peace and stability as well as other areas. Denmark has continuously supported Georgia on its reform path towards Euro-Atlantic integration and remains committed to working with Georgia towards EU-membership.
We now see extracts of the Danish article used out of context in the Georgian debate. The embassy has no desire to contribute to this and has no further comments,“ the statement reads.
