Court rules GEL 3,000 bail for Imedi hospital employees over nurse death
Three employees of Imedi hospital in the southwestern town of Akhaltsikhe, charged for providing false information over the recent death of 27-year-old nurse Megi Bakradze, have to pay a GEL 3,000 bail, Tbilisi City Court ruled on Thursday.
The next court hearing is scheduled for May 31.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, two doctors, identified as B.L. and V.I, and a nurse, identified as T.G., lied when they previously said that V.I. had provided Megi Bakradze with emergency medical care immediately after she felt unwell following the jab. The investigation found out that V.I. was not with Bakradze when she felt unwell after the injection.
Georgian nurse who received her first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine on 18 March, went into anaphylactic shock and died the following day.
