Coronavirus Outbreak Hits Singapore, South Korea and Japan

Singapore reported two more cases of the China coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the city state to three, while South Korea and Japan have now each confirmed two infections.

The novel coronavirus has so far infected almost 900 people worldwide and killed 26, with all reported fatalities in China.

The World Health Organisation on Thursday said the outbreak did not yet constitute a global health emergency. The WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a press conference in Geneva that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission outside China, although that could change.
