Compensations to self-employed persons and employees who lost their jobs to be issued step-by-step

The monetary compensations to self-employed persons and employees, who lost their jobs, will be issued step-by-step – Nino Veltauri, acting Deputy Head of Employment Agency said.

According to Veltauri, more than 92 thousand self-employed people are registered in the system as per the condition of May 29. The 51 000 people have already been transferred the compensation in the total amount of 15 375 000 GEL.

The number of people, who lost their jobs is 72 100 people, and they have already received the compensation in the amount of 14 435 000 GEL.

The money transfer takes place within 10 work day period. The deadline for verification of lists is May 30.

Onetime compensation of self-employed people is 300 GEL, and 200 GEL per month for those, who lost their jobs during novel coronavirus pandemic crisis. They will be receiving 200 GEL during 6 months.
