Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, expressed his belief that he will likely be arrested.
“I have already stated that I will not comply with the absurd demands imposed by this regime. I have no intention of participating in this masquerade. My lawyer has repeatedly requested that Tea Tsulukiani appear and clarify what she wants from me and why she is summoning me to this farce. Each time, our request has been denied, and we have appealed multiple times,” Japaridze added.
On April 16, Japaridze was granted bail of GEL 20,000 as a preventive measure for failing to appear before the temporary investigation commission, studying activities of the 2003-2012 government and its officials. The deadline to pay the bail expired on May 18.
